Classic Meatloaf

There is nothing better than a homemade meatloaf. Not only is it an inexpensive meal, it reminds me of the good old days in my Nana’s kitchen. I’ve made Mexican meatloaf, turkey meatloaf, and spicy meatloaf that were all delicious but classic meatloaf is my favorite. 


  • 1 lb meatloaf mix
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp diced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 egg

In a mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the meats together until fully incorporated. Add the ketchup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and egg until fully incorporated. Add the bread crumbs and mix for 3 minutes on low. Grease a glass loaf pan and turn your meatloaf mix into the pan. Smash the meatloaf mix in with a spatula until the air pockets are minimal. Flatten the top of the meatloaf. Place the meatloaf pan on a baking sheet. Cook at 350 for 1 1/2 – 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 170 degrees. Let the meatloaf stand for 5 minutes. Carefully drain the grease, slice and enjoy! 

We eat meatloaf with ketchup…so sorry no gravy recipe.
