I will never buy boxed Mac and cheese again for my kids. It took a while for me to find a recipe that my kids would actually eat. This is it!
- 12 oz Elbow Macaroni
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cups Milk
- 3 cups Shredded Cheddar
Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package directions. On medium heat, melt the butter in a medium sauce pan. Add the flour and salt and whisk until fully incorporated. Slowly add the milk and whisk until it bubbles slightly and starts to thicken. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Add the macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
