Paperwork Again
Every time I have to fill out this form it breaks my heart all over again. Brings me back to the day they told me my sweet girl had autism and handed me a stack of papers to fill out. I get it! I understand why it is necessary to fill out paperwork but it is the last thing I want to do. This form is used by clinicians to rate daily life skills for people with disabilities. Can my daughter cut her own food, brush her hair, bathe herself... When we started, she couldn't do any. I cried for days thinking I was a failure as a mom. As I fill out this form AGAIN, my hearts fills with joy because she can do most of the daily activities after years of working with her (sometimes fighting with her). So, if you are facing your own autism journey, you're not alone! Parents of 1 in 44 kids are fighting the same but different battles. That's why in April I am doing a video tutorial of a rainbow floral wreath and all profits will go to autism research! Why research? Because they need to stop this angry beast BEFORE it takes our children! Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
